Hi all , there are some really excellent quality models on here , which has inspired me to have a go modifying the 1 18th Transit .
I have made a rear roof top spoiler from 1mm plasticard and a sun hatch from the same material.
Side windows have been cut out to be replaced with tinted perspex.
Not to sure what colour to spray it yet , but Ford ST orange i think will suit it.
The wheels and lo profile tyres are from a German supplier on Ebay.
I will keep you posted as the model evolves ...

what did you use to cut on the sunroof and the windows and were do you get the 1mm placticard.

Hi Tony , i used a dremel with a mini disc cutter to roughly cut the holes out , then used a small file to get the square shape of the windows,the plasticard is from a local model shop ,about a pound for an A4 sized sheet. If there is not a shop near you let me know and i will put one in the post.

Use pin stripe tape , it turns corners real nice and does not leave a residue of glue when removed , masking tape is nasty for small scale models , it leaves ragged edges. But its OK for masking off larger areas.

here is my transit van decided to paint the spoiler black as the white was creamy to the van so here it is got another alloy exhaust coming the same as this 1 which is on now for the other side and my ford racing decals for the rear quarters
and my custom made cage for my red escos track car im making

just thought i would mention i have some bits that are surplus to requirements.
give me a shout if your interested in any of these.
will swap or w.h.y
the focus is burago and is missing wheels and interior , just a shell really but in good nick.
the golf cab is complete and has had bigger rims added.
the skyline is new and mint nothing missing.
the two porches are cabs , missing wheels and some small bits.
i do have the windscreen for the white one.
also have a lot of ford spares and wheels.
give me a shout if there is anything specific.
i will get some pics up of the spares but there is a lot .

i may do a p100 at some point the stuff i have layed around now is getting silly iv got loads of yb engines and other bits

the cosworth interior is sold.
floor,front and rear seats, door guards, dashbroad, engine and gearbox.
still got the..
boot lid,
back bumper,
bonnet,

My plastic Transit ... I will post some better pics in daylight , weather permitting !
The side windows are plexiglass , and the side exhausts are brass tubing..
