i bought a hi level spoiler for my yellow type r, the picture made it look like it was a 22b spoiler but its a bug eye one, looks shit!
shoulda said in the discription it was a cast of a bug eye spoiler and not a classic one, gonna have to make my own now

pmsl yea i know its ok though colin o what i said mate and get some pin stripe tape cos it dont let the paint run under it and you can tape up round the windows while the shell is bare and then mask the car up and then spray them matt black its easy to curve to the shape and works a treat good for taping up things like mirror plates door handles that sort of thing and doesnt half do the trick well worth it cos if you spray the window surrounds it looks a damn sit ebetter than brushing them im gonna use it on my s1 ive been quietly doing ill show you all when its finished so far so good

allan, were do you get that pin stripe tape from?mite try it as it pisses me off painting the rubber on.
the way i would do it is paint the car black were the rubbers are,then just mask the rubber bits up & paint he car last.saves the tape that way

yeah alan i might give it a go too, where from?
i use tamiya tape which is good but Ł4 a roll for not much, so to try and save i just use it on edges and normal masking tape for large areas but it pulled all the paint off my lexus nice stripe of bare metal through the roof.

why and how do the decals on the escort cosworth wrc cars just crack on their own i noticed last night that my yacco y on the side had just half dropped off so i painted it back in with white paint as i cant think at all on haw to measure it so its the right size and style and then i noticed my pilot 1 the 2 no 1 squares on the door had both cracked and a little bit had fell out of of the door stacks fookin shite man anyway ive sent dave a pm and hopefully he can come to my rescue and make me some new decals fingers crossed

right im going to do another mk1 lol is it better to stripe the paint right off or just take the shine off the old paint? i want to do it the best way not the quickest

if the standard paint is in good condition, just take the shine off. 1200 wetsand will do

wht you think of this as i sold my borbets to the 1 and only model mad colin i decided to put the escos wrc road car wheels on the 3dr so painted them white ive since painted the nuts silver too

i want to do them just one colour as i'm ok with spray paint and as u can see no good at hand painting lol

what about doing them grey with a yellow lip? spray them grey and the lips are easy to do

yeah youll still need primer but probably just one thin coat, whereas baremetal painting youll need a good few coats
