Default Greenlight Insurance

Hi guys,

First, I need to apologise for my lack of activity upon the forum recently.

As most of you know I have been an active participant for over 4 years upon PF, but recently I have been involved with Due Diligence followed by working upon I.T. related integration projects that have left little time for the fun stuff like hanging out upon forums.

I've answered all PM's that show as outstanding today and have switched on the option that ensures that i'm e-mailed when I have a PM.

I'll be getting around to all posts that have been made in my absence over the next few days but if there's somehing particularly urgent - PM me and i'll get back to you ASAP.

Kind regards

Tony

Been with you for a few years, but took a 9months break while the car was re-furbed. Got a renewal quote, but when I rang-up they said can only apply on line cos I was now a new customer.
I said if I put my Spec on line you wont insure me, well ive heard nothing as I expected .
Went to Adrian Flux talked to an actual person, who knew the car & insured me in minutes, you need to get this on-line crap sorted for very Special cars, im very disapointed cos I previously received good service.

Hi Rod,

We've been taking applications online to make us more efficient, as it enables us to process things in a far slicker manner.

There is a space for copy and pasting vehicles with epic specifications, which as quite a number of you on here can verify that we are not shy in terms of covering.

You can apply online, then call to discuss the application in detail once received - you will deal with a person with good technical knowledge who is based in the UK.

Sorry we couldnt help you this time around but thank you for your feedback.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Tony

Is it all E36 models that are unable to be insured by Greenlight?

Not a problem , slick is insuring me on the Spot as a customer of a few years standing, wanting a renewal. Your staff need to be trained to think out of the box when faced with something different, you have all my details on file I even gave the Policy number but your operator training only had one answer, we cant do it.
Regards Rod

Hi Rod,

I think the operator concerned must have looked at the policy having expired around a year ago and with the extensive modifications list looked for the safe route of re-capturing the latest spec again.

Point taken though, if the spec had not changed from last year recapping the historic data we held with you would have been the slick option - Especially as we had covered the car for several years before.

I'm glad you managed to obtain cover in the meantime and would be happy to get involved in any future.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Luke,

i'll check out the PM and revert to you via PM.

If youve applied already we should have your details, but I may need some brief info to trace (ie full actual name, postcode, date of birth).

Will be back to you shortly, just trying to work through posts/PM's.

Kind regards

Tony

M3s must have a high claim rate, and how many miles a year do you think a 600BHP car will do? And how many of those will be flat out?

the milage dosn't come into it tho, someone has stated they do not insure then, surely they could just increase the premiums if that was the case.

I rang Greenlight today ready to take up a policy but unfortunately the insurer they got the quote from would not offer Monthly Payments.

All in all quite a nice call regardless even if the gent on the other end of the phone was a teenie bit abrupt with me at one point.

been with greenlight for 2years now and havent had a single problem with them. when i phoned up found the service to be exceptional they knew exactly what i was on about and took no time at all to give me a very decent premium.

im up for renewal but the cars coming off the road for a bit(house takes priority for a while) but wil definately be giving greenlight first refusal of my buisness when i bring it back out to play.

Great company and top prices. Love the service as well, and they understand well modified RS cars DON'T get thrashed everywhere unlike some scumbag in a pikey old M3 .

I do have to agree that not being able to ring for a quote is a major problem IMHO, is nice to talk to someone on the phone, and people cannot get net access all the time.

Drivers of modified cars often spend considerable sums of money upon their vehicle, improving and refining the cosmetic appearance, performance or handling of their vehicle.
Since 1996 Greenlight Insurance have included the “like for like” replacement under most of their specialist car insurance schemes.
The principal of like for like cover is to ensure that in event of a claim the modified car driver has any damaged after-market part replaced on an identical basis. Where the part is no longer available or custom made you will be compensated financially to reflect the …

In the United Kingdom, since 2005, top independent production companies and major studios when dealing with major motion pictures have recently adapted the short term of Roll Programme which is similar to greenlighting; however, it is commonly used by accountants and producers in highlighting the fact to all parties concerned that there is no abort, cancellation or any other route for the film apart from finishing the film under any circumstances.
