Default He's back!!!!!

Michael Schumacher signs up for F1 return with Mercedes

Seven-times Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher will come out of retirement to race for Mercedes next year, BBC Sport understands.
The German, who will be 41 on 3 January, has signed a contract and the deal will be announced imminently.
Schumacher will partner compatriot Nico Rosberg in the team that won the drivers' and constructors' titles in 2009 in its former guise as Brawn.
His spokeswoman Sabine Kehm said she could not make any comment.
The German newspaper Bild is reporting that Schumacher signed a one-year deal and it is likely he will have the option to continue beyond 2010 if his returns goes well.
Schumacher will reportedly earn £6.2m after signing up to reunite with Mercedes team principal Ross Brawn, who masterminded all seven of his titles, the first two with Benetton in 1994-5 and the subsequent five with Ferrari from 2000-4.

Legend of the sport, will be odd/good seeing him race again!

Will defo create a buzz around F1, just hope he is competitive, would be a sad sight seeing him pottering around in the middle of the pack.

He'll be quick - but the stewards see things differently these days. He'll have to drive clean.

Lewis and he should have a good go I'm sure. I, for one, welcome the cheating German bastard's return.

Not suprised at all, it's probably a bigger thing for a German Driver to win in a German car than for an Italian to win for Ferrari. He's always had close links with the silver arrows and of course Ross Brawn!

I'm with you, I'll hold judgement till he's sitting on the grid for the first race.

I can't see how he's gonna be right at the sharp end after being out of the game for as long as he has, not straight out of the blocks anyway.

If he does come back, then I hope he has to race Nico properly and not expect to race against 24 cars, unlike everyone else who has to race 25.

I thought he didn't come back because he couldn't pass fitness required to drive an F1 car? Something to do with his neck???

the muscles in his neck were not strong enough previously, but he has had lots of weeks to improve this now, so looking good for a comeback!

I guess we all can see why Jenson left now. Schuey was in talks before Abu Dhabi, well before Jenson had been offered his contract, he obviously didnt want to play second fiddle to Schumacher, who can blame him

He is fitter (at 41 next year) than what Mansell and Prost were when they won there last (Mansells case only) titles.

He may have had a 3 year break from F1 but he has not just sat there. he has been competing in various forms of motorsport.

He has raced bikes and Karts so he isnt going to need to sharpen up at all. (Karting is the most competative form of motorport in the world)

I just hope the car is competative as id love to see him win the title next year. I have always followed schumacher since he started in F1.

I cant see Ferrari's drivers and also Maclaren drivers working together Harmoniously. This combined with Schu in a quick Merc could hopefully cause a stir!!!

Total bollocks, Mansell was still a full time race driver when he 'came back to f1', nobody was stronger in the neck than him, he HAD to be strong because of his injuries

Shuey has been away from the sharp end for 3 years, and Alonso was arguably better the two seasons previous to that as well. Even Button regularly outmuscled him when his car was up to it.

Pity Kimi wont be around but unless the Brawn/Merc is the class car of the field by a margin then he will struggle agains Alonso, Hammy, Button, Vettell.
