Highest BHP/per litre for a standard car
I was wondering which car puts out the highest bhp per litre.
I know the DC2 Integra Type R is 104 bhp/ Litre
and was wondering if there is any higher i think that the S2000 is higher but dont know the exact figures. Can ne one help

You cant possibly compare turbo and non turbo cars in terms of bhp per litre, thats an utter fucking nonsense!
Look at formula one engines, 300bhp per litre now with year 2000+ technology, but in the 80s without the technology but with 60 pounds of boost they were making nearer to 1000bhp per litre!

Testing the future
in the world of n/a car engines, it's been a bit of a battle between honda and bmw for a while, s2000 engine at 120bhp/litre vs m3 at what alex?

it's true that it's all about torque and that bike engines don't have much compared to cars (at the crank)
however, as they rev twice as high a typical car engine, when installing them in a car, you could reduce the drive ratio to a half, and get the same (or possibly higher) torque at the wheels as a 'normal' car engine. what the point would be i don't know.

Bike engines make far more torque than people given them credit for!
Have a look at the torque per litre on an M3 engine and a hyabusa engine and you will probably be quite surprised if you are expecting the M3 engine to be lots more!
