it's true that it's all about torque and that bike engines don't have much compared to cars (at the crank)

however, as they rev twice as high a typical car engine, when installing them in a car, you could reduce the drive ratio to a half, and get the same (or possibly higher) torque at the wheels as a 'normal' car engine. what the point would be i don't know.
