Default s2 valve stem oil seal question

im hoping to get my valve stem oil seals replaced as the cars smoking quite abit just a few question if someone can help me out
first of all any tips on preventing collets and valves falling in? are teh stemselas available from ford i heard their are two types (part number anyone?) any other pointers would be good

yup still available from ford as i bought some a few months ago. and try and cover any and all holes in the head with a rag or something. Or you'll learn the hard way like i did

use a magnet for the collets mate and make sure the piston for the valve your working on is up so the valve dont fall into the cylinder

cheers for your help their dude its deffo the stem oil seals as its smoking from cold, turbo seems fine no smokewhildt backing off etc i guess stem seals is a good place to start

dont forget when your doing them to have the piston in the correct place otherwise you could drop the valve into the head

when i did mine i covered the holes with cardboard

also when fitting the new seals make sure to put some tape over the slots where the collets lock into otherwise you will damage the new seal
