Go to My Computer > View > Folder Options > File Types (or control panel, folder options depending on your operating system).
Scroll down until you see the "URL:Hypertext Transfer Protocols", click twice to edit, ...... what does it say in the action box ?
Im hoping it says "open" and not "save"

Its a problem between Ebay & NTL. I suffer the same as you mate.
You're not the only one, stop by the Ebay forums on there and see how many people have the problem.

snowy astra is right, its an NTL problem, the good news is that you can fix it
NTl use something calls transparent proxies, when you visit a website you dont get the data directly from th site, it goes via a proxy server at NTL. this is intended to speed up access to websites (plus save NTL money on bandwith) now, these proxy server are always playing up so what you have to do is force your PC to use a new one
this web page has a list of the proxy ser ers (its a bit out of date but most stil work)
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d...cache.html#ntl
there are also instructions on how to change it. but in brief..
Tools... Options... Connections... LAN SETTINGS... and put in the address in the proxy server box (bottom of page) and port 80

I've been surfing the glasgow exchange proxy for all the time i've been with NTL.
I felt a bit uncomfortable having a whois search returning the Hersham proxy (which is right next door to me literally) what with my car pics being about the place.
Might change it later to the manchester one.
