Again, please don't say "ooh, it's a repost", as

a) I don't read every post on here

and b) I don't give a fuck.

If it's fake, then it's well done... Paul Smith is indeed the spokesperson for SafeSpeed.

So they're employing people to sit in the third lane at 70mph, or less, no matter what the traffic conditions, despite the Highway Code stating that the third lane is for overtaking only and you should move back to the second and first lanes when safe to do so?

Nice to see they're considering breaking one law to protect another...

So, on one hand they are trying to get cars off the road for environmental and safety reasons, then they want to put more on the road that don't really need to be there.

That about figures for the way this country is run.

I guess also, that these volunteers would have no authority etc, so you could blat past them on the inside with no worries.

Do the people that make these rules not drive on the motorways? It takes about half an hour of motorway driving to see that a major thing that fucks motorways up and bunches cars together is people overtaking slowly. It would be fairly obvious, laws aside, that the motorway is best served by people driving 70 or under leaving the inside lane very rarely.

Dunno Steve, it's legal but they will try to pin dangerous driving on you. At that point you have to pull out that racing driver's license you bought online and explain that it wasn't dangerous as you're a highly trained professional
