Yes.
Its not so much power that makes a car wheelie off the line anyhow, its the way the car is set up.

And thats not a pinto in that, its a BDG engine by looks of the writing.

Aswell as the car doing a wheelie, I think he also was refering to the 1/4 mile time of 10.8, which is good going from a N/A engined Escort.

And 10.8 dont need massive power when you got that much grip off the line. If hes got a 60ft time of something crazy like 1second then his terminal would only need to be about 110 i bet, so not huge power, esp in a mega light car.

BDG is a cosworth engine from years ago.. 2 litres based on a ford crossflow (kent) engine. It was a development of the BDA engine used in 70s rally cars.

Pinto is definitely capable of those kind of times.. i'm pretty sure the harris (HPE) lot aren't far off that and their cars are road legal.

2litre 16v non turbo race motor.

Probably a good 300bhp without nitrous and a lot of gas!

it would go really well if it wasnt in a capri
