Default E39 M5S

These are getting cheaper all the time....400bhp for under 20k. Has anyone had any experience with these. Would you say 100k mileage is high for these cars? Surely serviving and parts can't be much higher than for a Cossie? I'm very tempted to get one....

Great great cars, on another planet from a cossie in my opinion. They are ALOT more complex though. Servicing parts are not your problem, its a problem if something big goes wrong! They can be money pits. Not the easiest things to drive around town either. Strong but jerky drivetrain in my opinion

Thats part of the attraction Porkie. The only downside is that most of the one under 20k have done over 100k. If I knew that they were reliable if serviced correctly up to 200k, I'd probably would go for one!
