It gets bloody worse, I have just returned from having to go an pick the replacement up and even though the guy at John Sydney told me that the dimensions and pipework connections would fall in the same place, this is what I have......
Old fitting......
Replacement fitting......
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the pipes aren't going to end up in the same place and when you have had to do this to route the pipes.....
Believe me, for those that don't know, chasing out Red brick is SERIOUSLY messy and I really hoped that I would only have to do it once. Oh well, I think a phone call is in order.

Tiff, they have asked me to submit an invoice for the corrective work and inconvenience caused.
Obviously this is tricky as I am doing the work, so cannot produce an invoice. However, they suggested writing a letter of complaint detailing my losses/inconvenience and they will pay compensation.
What do you think I should ask for realistically?
For example, if you had carried out the work that I have for a customer and were in exactly this situation, how much would you charge to correct it? (i.e. Re-chase the wall and alter all the pipework and fittings?).
