as with there help we managed to remove that fucking bottom pully bolt


FUCK ME was it hard work


tried brute force and shouting at it,,,,,,,,, then cowboi sugested at 11 at night to use AIR TOOLS , good job its his mums house as im sure my neighbours would complain


anyway that never worked

so after heating the bolt for about 10 mins and melting the oil seal and cam belt we managed with a 6 foot scaffold bar, axel stand and cowboi and pikey holding the engine down to turn the bolt enough to crack the bolt off


ALSO a big thanks to stu at MSD for showing me his fly wheel locking too,,, thats the tits,,,,,,,,,, took a while finding it ( cause its not anything to do with a ford based engine ) but without that small but PERFECT tool it would never have been done





now i gotta repaint part of the block where the blow torch was on it for so long,,,,,,,,, we can do that another day though


main news is i can fit the cambelt ect


and who ever it was that sugested that the cam belt can come off without taking the bottom pully off is missing a thin wasker that goes behind the cam pully,,,,, it seals the dirty from getting into it but also stops you taking the cam belt off


and pikey when you read this its a good job i never " sneeked" it into work today as the regional parts manager was there,,,,,,,, can you imagine me trying to explain that one " well i took the van home last night with no permision ad then put the engine in the boot to bring to work today as theres no managment in and try and get the bottom pully off",,,,,,,,,,,,, he wasnt in a good mood cause the stock in a small branch was down by 60%

ill get me car fixed but you cant rush these things,,,,,,,, i bought the engine back in september and ive just taken the bottom pullyu off to sort the cam belt,,,,,,,, i bought that in november,,,,,, cant rush these things

no chance of seeing the light for an ST besides they gone out of production allready cos theres so many parts causing delays be a new shape out by the time they get any finished

nope that was lewis,,,,,, he was gonna buy my one but then i did before him and so he bought tim's old one,,,,,,,, and wrote it off


i jst took mine apart cause the engine didnt sound healthy and discovered id bent 3 rods

so got another engine off a member on here and then im modding it slightly

actually its made by draper expert ( like all my tools and i write "snap on" on some masking tape to fool people )

its a ridged face on a L shape with a hole that bolts to the gearbox bolt holes,,,,,,,,, well it JUST does that

good as i dont belive in giving out trade secrets

that was prob the most usefull tool ive ever bought,,,,,,,,,, well that and my mobile phone that allowed me to store cowboi's and pikeys number ,,,,,,,, thats the most used tool in my collection


dont need any other tools than that as cowboi fucking collects em,,,, hes got a passion for tools,,, was showing us last night his jubilee clip driver, its a flexi screw driver with a 6 and 8 mil socket on it,,,,,,

tried telling him ive got a simmiler version,,,,,,,, its called a screw driver and aint 25 quid
