Default Small turbo Escort Cosworth's--Opinions

As title

What are these like in comparison to a "Usual" Cosworth YB engine.....ie, Driving wise??

Are the prices for the Small Turbo usually lower than the Big Turbo model?

What are they like in "305 GGR conversion" spec??

I had a stg 3 4x4 saph for 6 years before buying my small turbo and the difference was amazing much nicer car t drive, it has a stg 1 conversion and a magnex zorst and it goes very very well, virtually no lag so is very "usable" round town, it does however run out of puff if you rev it hard, I would never go the big turbo route as I prefer the driverbility of the Small t.
It's quick enough to go sideways in the dry aswell!!!

would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about getting one

That is basically what it would be....nothing like the 3DR or anything with loads of power (Not saying my 3DR was loads of power before all the numptys start)

Just something nice, Reliable and comfy to take out for a blast on a nice day

Top end they arent as good as big turbo models, but for acceleration i think a 305gg version small turbo is quicker 0-60 0-100 than 330bhp big turbo

Tiff,

You know ive had both. If i had a third one, it would be a big turbo. It jus isnt the same mate with the small. My mate has the GGR 305...and even that just isnt the same as the big T i had.

IMO if you are considering a escos, you want a big turbo..especially after owning a 350 plus 3dr
