Some chap just knocked on my door and said "is that your ST170 outside", so I say yes (thinking oh shit what happened), but instead he says..
"I used to have one and brought some oil and touch up paint for it - both unopened, here you go mate - was going to take them to the tip!". Suprised, but not to look a gift horse and all that, I thanked him and took them
I was quite chuffed with that and the touch up is the right colour - saved me £10-20 I suppose, which is much better than a kick in the face
I presume 5w30 [Castrol Performance A1] is ok for my ST?

Its better than him saying "Is that your St170 on the drive" yes "well give me the fookin keys then"

Yeah, tis nice to know there still a bit of humanity out there.
If your right Simon, it was an expensive and non fruitful wank foder but I'll take that as a kinda backhanded compliment to her..

thats cool. when i had my mk3 cortina a fela knocked on the door and said the same thing, first thought is, shit hes drivin into it! turned out his uncle had owned it from new, had a chat and he gave me the orginal owners manual. was chuffed to see it restored lol.
