Default Ok I am pretty useless with cars.....

So don't laugh!!

My car's just been in for an MOT and it failed for wrong kind of indicator bulb....and a leaking center exhaust box.

In my picture below, marked with a red dot, is that the box that was leaking?

or is it a different part? (pics if poss!!)

and (a bit late now cos its booked for repair) but does a final bill of £89.30 sound about right, for the repair?

Cheers oh knowledgable ones!

Well, its probably not an awfull price for a whole new box but its a pretty poor one if they patch it.

Yes, picture is of an exhaust box.

If its leaking it may have simply blown on a weld or seam and in that case most places WILL weld it or even shove some paste in it or a putty bandage round it, so its worthy of consideration...

A gen ford back box is only just over £30.00 thats if yours is a 1.3 a non ford one prob half the price?

And about 80p for a bulb

Almost £60 a lot of money to fit a back box and bulb
