Default Tyre choice.......

I have narrowed it down to 2 tyres.

They are the same size/speed rating (W Rated) etc. Assume they are exactly the same price (which they virtually are), what should I go for?

As I understand it, the Goodyear will be the better all-round tyre as I hear they are good in both the wet and the dry.

I expect the Yokohama to be good in the dry, but not so good in the wet?

Vote away!!

Yokohama Parada Spec II.......

Michelin Pilot Sport or Primacy

Forget Yokos and Goodyear....... how many top end manufacturers fit either to their cars

If you are after a max power type tyre then yes go for the Eagles and colour the good year in with tip ex for that drag racer look

Toss mate, i looked into it big time. The conti sports, and mich pilot sports come close to the grip levels of an F1, but not quite. On my second set of fronts, the first did over 20k. The Michy/conti's prob last a bit longer, but arent quite as grippy.

Rick,

It's not toss mate

As you are missing my point, IF you are after a tyre for out and out grip in all conditions then I agree the Eagles are hard to beat.

However I found the ride very noisy and they are aimed at the more RST/ max power market.

I've got the Pilot primacy's as they ride a lot better with less road noise , they may not have the outright grip of the eagles but overall IMO they are the better package

Its the same with Bridgestone I think its due to the fact they are all Japanese tyres. So don't work so well on European Tarmac.

Goodyear
Or
Michelin Pilots

Possibly Pirelli Zeros, but I can't say Ive ever tried them.

It's all swings and roundabouts at the end of the day

Not so long ago everyone (not neccesarily on here) were raving on about Toyo's (which I personally like) not one person has even mentioned this tyre which is a good all rounder and used to be a very good value tyre too

Now they've got some good press prices have started to rise

Craig, I reckon C&S or Derek Campbells will be as cheap remember that at mytyres you need to budget for fitting too

I've used the F1's on the cossie for ages and like them - it tramlines a bit, but they're great otherwise!

Neil.
