Default Just bought a snotty old ford mundane-o converted to LPG

Actually drives quite nicely.

Totally undocumented 79K on the clock, which i believe as much as i would believe that Katie is still a virgin, especially as the numbers dont line up

I got it cause i spend around 600 quid a month in fuel at the moment in my alfa at 30mpg on petrol, and the same distance at 35mpg on LPG is about 250 quid instead.

Its even got aircon, although doesnt have a rear view mirror or all the allow wheel trims, or a locking nut for the wheels

Should be perfect for parking and not giving a flying fuck about as well.

Im sure Doug "mondeo-man" Stirling will approve, even though its not an estate like real men drive
(i even bought it off a company in reading called stirling cars by sheer coincidence, no relation are the doug?)

Here she is, ugly fooking thing

Seems ideal for just running into the ground to and from london for a year or so

Was 1200, at 600 with the LPG conversion it would have really been a steal.

Wasnt especially a bargain, i just wanted something straight away as at 350 a month saved in fuel i only have to wait a few weeks looking for the same thing under a grand and im worse off anyway!

Its ok, bird im mainly banging at the moment is only size 8, plenty of room wherever

TBH mate, its not especially what im after, but it saves piling miles on the alfa, and saves a decent amount each week for now, will probably get something a bit more interesting at a later date now i have something cheap to run around in for the meantime.

Quite fancy an LPG 328 E36 or something like that once i get round to looking properly, or maybe a dual fual astravan as at least they are useful for moving engines about etc.

I did think of a diesel first of all TBH, but when you do the maths LPG just works out loads cheaper.

35mpg @ 38p per litre = 5p per mile
55mpg @ 88p per litre = 7.25p per mile

So its about 1/3 cheaper on LPG

Potentially, but sooner just sell it as a complete working car and get a reasonable amount back for it, its gotta be worth a grand later on even with another 20-30K on the clock, where as its worthless without the kit really.

Id want a better kit if it was something more longterm to, with multipoint injection etc off of jonlem on here.

Its not that bad then I went to buy a 740i that had missed 100k miles off the clock...was a nice car but they sold it elsewhere as they claimed they didnt know, which is fair enough ..nice guys to deal with and they sell a lot via ebay. Was the white V6 Mundano there still

Didnt bother to look around TBH mate so didnt notice a V6 one.

They were nice to deal with, and someone else was there moaning about some faults with their car that they seemed happy enough to sort out for him.

Its the budget end of the market, so you dont expect service even that good normally TBH

I would happily buy from them again, but would take the Ebay ads with a pinch of salt, half of it is cut and paste to ever car about how nice it drives etc

erm.............. no

just converted mine this week, its a single point kit so nothing special but will do me nicely, ofcourse since I fitted it I've found that the master cylinder has gone and some bushes in the front are knocking like crazy which is typical as it was fine before the lpg !

It seems that all that power I now is pulling the car to bits

Thats so true about the cut n paste

Iain/Bubble has a JVC single slot CD player up for grabs if thats any good to you he could always bung it in tommorow at the yard (10 mins from my place) if that helps relieve the boredom of munching some miles up listening to the road ....

I might have to pay them guys a visit at night as I quite like some of their pot plants

I'll just get a basic MP3 head unit from halfords cheap, at least it has a warranty etc then TBH

99 quid for a blaupunkt one reduced from 199 at the moment.

Cheers for the offer though.

Its SO funny seeing their setup down there, dirty old yard full of cars, then over in the corner they have the "photoshoot location" that they wheel the cars over to for their picture to make them look like they are at some posh country estate driveway or something

Fair play to them though, its good marketting to put pictures like that up!
