does anyone know how to test the plug that goes onto the crank sensor
im not getting a reading on any setting on the meter but dont know what setting to have it on
also these sensors wiring is insulated with an earth shroud how can i reapir a wire if its broke

if you want to test the wire going to it you will have to do a continuity test (buzzer) and connect the mumtimeter to the crank sensor pin outs at the ecu plug end and then to other end of the in the engine bay (plug)
just repair the wire as normal (soilder and heat shrink) but make sure the outer shroud is insulated from the inner wire at the point of the repair.

yeah sorry
just having trouble with this nail of a sierra
it wont fire up and te only thing i can think ff is theres a break in the wire for the crank sensor
ive changed the sensor and everything
and it still wont fire up but when it does it will only be for a second and i keep losing the rev counter aswell when it does die]
