I can't find a direct hack on the web for the SL-DT100 (or SA-DT100) either, but here's a couple worth trying as they are Panasonic specific;

Open the disc tray
Press "9", "8", "1", "7"
Select RC with "Enter" (9=Codefree)
Press "Return"
Close the disc tray

or

Turn the player on (without a disc inserted)
Press and hold "Shift"
Press "Setup"
Release "Shift"
Press "Enter" 2 x
Go to "Other"
Enter RC (4-digit, e.g.0001)
Press "Enter"
Press "Return" 2 x
Turn the player off

Neither works, the last one I can select setup anyway with no disc in, no option for region coding

think you might need a hacked firmware for region free.

Yeah panasonic rarely have key combination hack codes couldn't find one for mine either so bought a cheap region free dvd for the moments I just gotta go american worked out cheaper than buying some ropey disk, hoping it'll work and worrying it may break it

You can get them for under £20 from some places

Only thing I could find, but it's gonna cost you a £20 fee to rent the kit to do it

It's worth doing if you want to be able to play movies from different regions, yes. How it works I don't know as I was lucky and got a downloadable hack for my Philips DVD player....

There is another way of doing it tho. There is some PC software called DVDSHRINK which allows you to rip and copy DVD films onto blank DVD discs. It compresses the information to allow a 9.whatever gb disc onto a 4.7gb disc, that you would get from Tesco or wherever for pennies.

It also makes them region free

It would just mean you'd have a bunch of duplicates tho....

This web site is pretty much the holy grail of DVD hacking information, take a look: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks.

Although it says: "No region or macrovision hacks for this player." (Panasonic SL-DT100)
