Sound....basically I need to know if its possible to change the main Citrix administrator password without re-installing everything - or if its possible to give another person Citrix admin rights. Whats happened is a new customer of mine has had an existing Citrix server attached to a new domain of theirs - now the Citrix server had previously been installed by one of their old IT people & they've got no recollection of even been told of the password....usual thing passing the blame.
I need to add an an extra 5 licences for Citrix clients & I believe I can only do this within the Citrix Management Console....BUT...I need a password to get in!!!
Any ideas ppl???

Use this all day every day for our Interstate depots. Great software.
I use it for 2 applications, Outlook Email and some propreitory software we run off of Melbourne server.
I dont add clients in through the administrator. All I use the Administrator for is logging off and terminating sessions.
I install the citrix client on the client machine and map it to the IP of the server which has the two defined programs on. Then either select local user or user must enter details.

thats not really a citrix issue, it a hacker issue
what domain is the citrix server on, do you have admin rights to that domain? can you get admin rights to that domain? is the citrix server sitting on the domain at the moment and connected?
there's likely a security group on that domain that has permissions on the citrix server (citrix admins?) add yourself to this group and log on as you.
its unlikely that only one local user has access to the citrix admin console. if thats the case then its been set up SHIT.

metaframe 1.8 (old)
is it metaframe xp Fr1 ? Fr2 ? Fr3 ?
(fr stands for Feature release level)

then .. start any application from the citrix server..
when your in it.. make sure that the citrix window is active.. and press CTRL-F3 ...
this will bring you a taskmanager FROM THE CITRIX SERVER..
Goto FILE in the topmenu on the left..
CHoose New task ..
type explorer.exe and hit enter..
now you have a full desktop on the citrix server..
you probably can start the seperate license manager (no need to start the metaframe console).. and enter your licenseinfo ..
If you need to be an admin on the machine..
find a program called L0pth crack ..
This is a brute force password cracker and will get you the password for the administrator account (or any other you choose)..
just place it on a reachable share in the domain..
reach the share from the explorer.exe \\machine\share
and run this program ..
it will give you all accounts with all passwords..
THIS INFORMATION IS PROVIDED TO HELP YOU and NOT to crack any other citrix servers ..
Mine are protected anyway
