HELP NEEDED!
Right i hope someone can help me cos im Fucking confused with a "capital F"!
Just bought my girlfriend a saxo VTR thats in need of a new gearbox,Done all the usuals checked the numbers on the log book with the ones on the car, done a hpi and all was correct and ok BUT after looking and buying realised logbook and hpi say 1.4 VTR not 1.6 VTR????
Been to citreon and they say that there was never a 1.4 VTR made only a 1.4 west coast that looks like a VTR??
The thing that i cant make out is that both the log book and hpi say 1.4 VTR?
Somethings wrong!
Thanks J.

My exs mom has a saxo that wasn't a west coast or anything like that BUT had all the VTR trimmings and was a 1.4 apparently ordered when she got it new.
fuck knows.. I used to call it a Saxo east side because it was shit anyway

If Citroen's computer generated V55 (new car registration form) was lost somewhere between them and the dealer, the salesman might have filled in the engine size wrong when doing a manual one.
There are so many special editions and stuff out there that no-one in DVLA would bother to query the 1.4 bit and the car would be registered as that.
HPI then pick up the model information from the DVLA record.
If you are sure it is a 1.6, check that the engine number that is fitted to the car matches, and then just send the logbook back to Swansea with a letter pointing out the error quoting that number and asking for it to be corrected.
