Looks good

I assume the data-out protocol is fully supported on the lastest firmware?....Something I'm dying to play with, as you know, shortly my ECU will be modified for Bluetooth (well...warrenty was fucked when I painted it and took it to bits last time i guess ), will have some PocketPC "dash" software before long too

PS, Send me an email/pm dude

If you try it on your S8, please let me know how you got on
with all details of...

Windows version,
Com port set up (Should work on USB to serial converters now )
looks like i'm out of luck and the 'IF software version...' bit applies to me. not bothered but you said you wanted to know Simon

brand new laptop
running windows XP
usb to serial converter
which set itself as com2 (saw it in device manager)
i got a bargraph progressing from left to right then about quarter way it came up with

PhilM, Will do later.

the original, thanks for trying it, your ecu is probally well over due
for a software upgrade but at least it proves the new windows version
can use the serial port via usb on windows xp as it had to communicate
to get the information.

policy which for me is a sad thing being brought up on them

Now added features that make it comparable to the higher spec rivals
but much cheaper.

Hopefully, if all goes to plan During this month I will have a new
set up for ecu manufacture like the ecu monitors are made now
so removing all my day to day headaches with improved sales support
and a new improved price.

If anyone has any SERIOUS suggestions for features/modifications
they would like to see, now is the time to speak up.

YES YES, sort your customer service out first thats priority ,good lad

marco polo,

the original,
The latest original PC software version is 8019.
The windows program I posted here, needs 8017 or higher to work.
I will email you the 8019 update as you are getting your car mapped soon.

markk,
Drive by wire Throttle was never a priority development just something
I wanted to do for myself and if it works ok I may share it with others.
All takes time and money of which I dont have much of either

foreigneRS,

Nick, The ECU upgrade shouldnt fail
This is because, the update goes in to a flash disk type storage system
on the ecu and is saved and validated ONLY then the original software is deleted.
The new ECU software is fully tested on my own car and few others before
it is released.
The upgrade I am sending you has been available for over 5 months
and is pretty much field tested on many cars now anyway !

My first recomendation for all users upgrading is ALWAYS back up your
maps and PC software in another folder to be absolutely safe

Lee mate. why have you had a map from Harvey and Karl? Was one slighty better than the other?

cossierich330,

I can answer that one (i think) ..

The original engine was dynoed at Harveys to run it in.

Once installed in the car, Karl has live mapped it on the road
to get the best from it in those conditions plus I think Karl
is more able to give his time than Harvey as I know there have
been things added on like closed loop fuelling etc...

cossierich330,

Hopefully now that all manufacturing and sales are done by others
things should improve drastically and I might even make some money
this year
