Oranoco is right, this country is fooked
Somehow its cool to be a thick anti social coont....
All these kids roaming the streets these days are the children of the Thatcher generation... everyone for themselves, want want want, England owes me a living.
No sense of community or pride or respect.
And while nothing can be done to these kids, no corporal punishment at school etc they think they are untouchable... and they are.
Personally I think anyone caught vandalising property etc should be made to repair the damage as part of their community service and be made to do it in a bright pink boiler suit, to work out doors in the community, help old folks with gardening etc but so everyone can see who they are.
Also at the end of every local new bulletin have a 1 minute run through with the faces of these teenage fuckwits shown with their name and the list of things they've been up to.
That might help deter the little fookas.
Although most of them would be too thick to work out they were being named and shamed

I wonder how many people off here, if the clock was wound back 10 years were doing that kind of behaviour though.
Both my parents were in education for virtually all of my school years up until college. My dad could see the local secondary school were churning out crap kids with the lame homework I was getting. He knew the head teacher as they were both Governers on a different board. He wrote to him several times (better to have a written record that verbal). I ended up with teachers making snide comments because they actually had to do their jobs and set homework.
Looking back it was almost as though they feared the kids and wanted to be their "mates" by not setting homework.
Worst I ever did was throw a water balloon at my neighbours car We get on well with them so was all in jest anyway. Even that I got a stern talking to on about what could have happened. Was far from an ideal kid as my brother and I fought for all our years over absolute crap which pissed mum and dad off no end
I just used to enjoy cycling and playing football with my mates. We never went around in gangs, most was ever 3 people. We always had somethign to do or somewhere to go so never had a need to just stand on corners intimidating people. All used to meet at the local junior school after school for a kick about.
Dads should be feared and rule with an iron hand. Always feared my dad when I grew up and kept me in line as with my brother. Used to get a hiding if we stepped out of line which did me no harm at all.
Planned to run away with my brother when I was about 10 for the fun of it, dad found out and marched us around the town for 6 hours showing us different things and at a healthy pace! Never did that again
