i couldn't sleep last night, finally nodded off about 4:30am. sister called me this morning, she'd wrote her car off last night in a big crash...6 days after passing her test! (maybe thats why i couldn't sleep? psycic sisterly ting? )

from what i can gather she pulled out at a junction in her lickle pug, and someone went into side of her, span her around and wrote off her new car she said her hub cap was stuck under his bonnet, her passenger door was smashed in, no bonnet, her left front wheel was attached to the car but completly caved in and flat on the ground. and her radiator was pissing out big time.

she said her airbags had come out an hour before the accident, and felt something bad was gonna happen?? scary shit man for a 17 year old.

the other car had no lights on and was an old man driving, his car was written off also, but he was not injured in any way, luckily. he doesn't want to take the acccident any further either. (bit suss)

they are unsure of who was to blame because they were both on green lights, nikita (sista) thought she'd cut him up by going on her green light, but when she checked to her left, no one was there? he definately had no lights on, possibly speeding and after the accident he said he had no brakes.

nikita's shaken, won't stop crying think it's shock, but luckily she has got away with bruises, and cuts on her hips from her seatbelt.

The stoopid old git shouldn't be on the road mate, cause if he can drive a car with suspect brakes, no lights and plus he could of been speeding(with no brakes fookin' nutter), he is more of a danger to peoples lives, and should be made to see that by the police/courts, plus if he don't want it to go any further then it could sugest either his license has expired (depending how old he was???) no insurance or that he knew the car was knackered, but drove it anyway, which would be "Dangerous Driving" and they would ban him anyway, or alot worse if he hasn't got insurance or liscense.

Any way hope your sister is ok

If i was you i would get the coppers involved - even tho they wont do anything as it seems to be the other guys fault, no headlights and no fookin brakes.

the coppers turned up to the scene of the accident and everything because the cars were in the middle of the road smashed up

but she said if the matter got taken further SHE would get done for careless driving, because it was his right of way or something?? i dunno. and she said there were no witnesses either?

but she said she was only doing 20mph and the other car was alot faster and i suppose it had to be to spin her a few times and do so much damage but then i don't know because i don't drive, so i don't know if my theory is right or wrong??

i'm just gratefull she's alive

Get some advice...if her lights were on green and he had not light on in darkness then surely it's his fault....

well i've been thinking about it and now i think maybe her light was green, so was his, but maybe she still had to give way and didn't realise? being new to the roads etc. but definately worth looking into i agree.

I take it she was turning right at a junction and he was coming straight on ?
Cant work out how she could be pulling out of a junction and both sides of the lights be on green ??

i don't understand entirely either, she's very shaken so its not making much sense?.i think she was going straight and he was coming from her left. they were both on green but i think she still had to check the left and giveway? i dunno mate, it was in ferdown in bournemouth. she's going back to work today though, so thats a big plus. i'll post the pics of the car when i get them

If she pulled out on someone then it will be her fault!

Similar thing happened to a mate of mine, he was driving with just his sidelights on at dawn and someone pulled out on him. The guy who pulled out on him tried to protest but the police said he pulled out therefore it was his fault.
