Advise on buying a Breitling watch or similair please
I am thinking of buying a Breitling watch, (I really like Rolex Daytona's but my budget will have to be £2000.00 tops).
Now I know Rolex hold their value very well but do Breitling aswell, are there any other makes I should consider, I am looking for a similiar style to a Daytona and would like one that wont shed value but might appreciate in time-thanks for any advise you can provide

Have a good look on scoobynet or do a search/pm a fella named yoza he seems to know his stuff on Breitling as he advised me a while ago on what's best
A little over your budget but well worth it imo

Awesome bits of kit, Which model are you after? my Dads just bought his 3rd Breitling and always gets them abroad as they are much cheaper, I've not really asked how much cheaper but I'm guessing a fair amount as he has 3 more than me
Rolex's are all about the name, there not really that good of a watch to be honest, I'd personally love a Tag Heuer Monaco but I dont have £1500 spare so it will have to wait.

if you want a daytona get on the waiting list now.....the waiting list is seven years on which case youll have a bit of time to save up before it arrives
you can buy a daytona today at grey market prices - about 2k over retail.
Mine arrived the week before xmas which made a nice xmas present to myself but the missus got nowt as a result
Ive never been into breitlings but I think they make a nice watch too.
Ive neve been bothered about fakes - I know my watch is a real one and I get a lot of pleasure out of owning it, its a fine piece of engineering...a bit like on of madevelopments engines

Breitlings are nice watches, but don't really float my boat. My own personal favourite is a Rolex, however corny it may be. Best one ? Yachtmaster in platinum and steel, anywhere from £2.5k upwards for a gold one with the platinum's starting at about £3k used, or an Explorer 2. The latter can be bought used for about £1500 and they're a nice sports watch. My mate has got a gold / diamond Rolex at £35k.............it's a bit too bling for me. Daytona for £2k ? Dream on..............not a hope.

Mr S1, I didn't say I could get a Daytona for £2000.00, I said I liked them and wanted one of a similair style, ie Chronograph
Thanks for the link tho

I tried on a Omega Chronograph yesterday.
Aim to get one for my 30th in March
rrp is £1600 but the jeweller would drop to £1440.
Tried to put me off buying through blitz watches, something to do with Omega tracking who sells them and not touching them if they need to come in for repair.
Most likely bollocks though
Paul.
