I don't understand why people don't enjoy Reading for a night out. Spent 5 years going out there and never had any trouble, always loads of people out for a laugh, lots of students, all the regular bars and pubs plus better eating places than most southern towns I have been to.
As a former Basingstoke resident, I have been out in Basingstoke town centre once for a college leaving do and Reading, literally a hundred times or more as my mates are from Reading.
