Default Hi from Oz

Hey guys,

I just found this forum in the last few days, after searching for info on one of my all time favourite cars, the absolutely brilliant Escort Cosworth

A mate who imports cars imported these 2 a while ago (I live in Sydney), the red one (with leather interior) was crashed & written off ( ), and the white one sold to someone unknown.

Can anyone tell me anything about the white car - the only info i ever got was it is an 'Arrows Edition'

I did manage to get a ride in the red cossie, been hooked ever since.

I never got the chance to ride in the white car, apparently they're way above the normal cossie's in terms of performance ??

Thanks
Al

Never heard of an Arrows Edition.

Welcome to the BB though

The Escort Cossie is a popular car over here and we have many fairly quick cars. 220bhp out the box which is easily hiked to over 300bhp and there are loads of cars sporting higher figures than that. If it's Cossie info you are after you will almost certainly be able to get the information you want here

Enjoy your stay

Hia welcome to Pf

Looks like a normal escos with stickers to me but there may have been a special edition, Arrows did have an association with Cosworth in F1 around the time of the cossie's release....I'm sure someone'll know!!

Enjoy your stay!

it's too hot, and i'm staying home trying to save $$$ to get my GTI-R pulsar into the 10's

Anyway, the white car had badges that said something like 'Arrows edition, number 7 of 10' - something like that ??

Brooklyn Ford in the UK put together the Arrows special edition cars - they were white small turbo models - about 20 odd made I think, with stickers on them from the F1 arrows cars

Nearly all went to Japan, and some then went from there to Aus

Guy on here a while back in Aus had bought one and was asking about it, probably the same car.

When Arrows started in F1 racing, they used a Cosworth engine in their race cars and as a bit of a celebratory thing, they modified a few Cossies. Power was supposed to be around 280bhp ish but I can't remember much else about them.
