ditto what everyone else said, what make is the laptop (if the card is std) or you could have a look for a part number also. (itll be a compartment underneatht the laptop, little quare adapter card, looks a bit like a memory module

if that dont work you can get the Device ID from windows and we can work it out from that

Can you not just click the start button, click RUN and type in DXDIAG - you get a window open with pretty much EVERYTHING about your machine and software info in there...

Download something like Everest? It's an auditing tool and helps save IT bods loads of time by telling them what hardware is inside the machine! (well - most hardware anyway).

no its not stu, mini-pci cards show up as PCMCIA devices rather than PCI devices.

unfortunately matt it looks like a cheap shitty wireless card that doesnt report its status "properly" please open it up and read the part numbers off of it. you'll likely find 2 seperate compartments on the bottom, one for mini-pci and one for memory, the one you're after is the one that looks more complicated and is probbly taller

matt, as jim says, its just a cover @ the bottom, just be careful of the aerial/antennae.

Some Hi-Grade laptops are rebranded ASUS machines
What's the laptop model and I'll have a look (I used to work for them)

Some Hi-Grade laptop models are also badged as Advent and resold by PC World

It's made by Uniwill then.

Assuming it's a Pentium III, it should be one of these drivers
