how the hell do u connect mp3players to a pc? the wifes bought the kids one each and when you plug it in to the usb port it does nothing,using xp it says you shouldnt need to install a usb driver,but it doesnt seem to do bugger all

true, on XP it should just connect automatically if the USB port is working..

Does it come with any cds/software? if so have you installed it all?

If not then sounds like it could be faultly usb port, maybe try another port on the pc? ive got 5 on mine

how old is your pc, as theres a usb and usb2, sometimes things dont work on usb when the item is usb2

Have you updated your XP recently ?

If its an IItronics one then there has been issues with this before and some people have cured it by loading on the Win98 driver.

all updates are current,ive got a bit further with it now,when i plug in the usb port it recognises it,but thats it,apparently a window should appear with removable disc but it doesnt
