2k miles, standard boost, mixture of town and motorway work. Keep revs down for first 1k miles, gently increase up to 2k but no more than about 4500 rpm at 2k miles. Don't cane the arse off it. The better an engine is run in, the better it will be. Change oil every 500 miles.

My friend told me to do this when I home rebuilt my Cossie engine, I have, Karl has live mapped it, and there was no concerns what so ever. I went to him with about 1200 miles on the new engine, obviously 200 of which had been at full power on my old chip. Infact he said I have a very strong and decent engine.
My friend who told me to do it the way I described above, runs his own engineering business, and has built countless good engines and countless good Cossie engines, all run in like this

It really doesn't take long to run an engine in.... many race engines see an hour on the dyno or rolling road and then perform fine.
All you are doing is seating the rings to the bores, as all other componants bed in within a few minutes.
Remember if you've changed the cam you need to run the engine for 20 mins at 2000-3000 rpm (varying all the time). This lowers the load on the cam lobes and increases the oil suppy
