Default MORE AIR TO FILTER OR STANDARD AIRBOX ? GAINS ?>

As above basically does anyone know if i would get much of a gain if any removing one of my inside lights to reveal filter to the world lol (twin headlights) thought about doing so and again thought whats the point lol , and again would a standard box offer any gains but defo dont wanna lose my almighty flutter/chuff Its just that my filter is always quite hot and has got me thinking is this doing more harm than good

Any input appreciated

I run a standard airbox and get plenty of wastegate chatter i also removed the inner morrete for a cold air feed to the 'box and TBH there was no noticeable difference
You have to remember that ford(and any other manufacturer for that matter) spent ŁŁŁŁ developing components such as the air box, The cosworth airbox has a good reputation for it "unrestrictiveness"(i KNOW its not a real word)
The air box only really becomes restrictave the top side of 500bhp

But thats just my humble opinion

Test by MAD proved no difference if it did i would have stayed with Airbox.
If the test above had been reversed im sure the result would have been the other way round . Its called the Placebo Effect. But kidding yourself it made Power is real i suppose .

come on, why remove it for more power gains

next you will be fitting the real yellows to replace the painted yellow ones

cone filters do work a TINY but, but then you could use a normal air box, you aint gonna get more power though

std airbox doesn't gain you power..............

but cone filters lose you power
my bro's saff made more bhp with std airbox and filter than cone filter so it worked for him
if it works for you rab stick with it,if not change it back
best bet is when your gettin it r/r change it then
rod if it made no difference then why have it?

so let me get this straight,,,,,,,,,,,

for years people upgrade there air filter for a free flowing item and all get power increase in all the car mags on back to back tests

jamsport get more of a upgrade than with the standard box by drilling it, but the cone still made more than the standard

but now years later cars that made 300bhp with the filter swop now make even more power with swopping back again

so if i done that and then swopped to another cone would i still get more power increases

ill tryo swopping turbos over and exhausts too and then after 1 year ill have a 1000bhp cossie on yellows and t3 turbo

as said placebo effect, anyone actually swop another basic part adn get the car re setup and notice the power increase,,,,,,,,,,, its down to the set up too people

as hard as it is to replicate runs on a rolling road, Rod i tried my best.

this was a back to back run with cone and air box.

i didnt say it felt any faster, just that it showed more power on the second run with the air box fitted.
