Default ****SUPERCHARGED VR6**** my new motor (PICS)

Well thanks to Ryan and Sam (C6MBY) i'm now a proud owner of a Supercharged VR6.

I decided i wanted something different and it certainly is that. With Audi S3 315mm Brakes and £7k spent on the engine it is so much fun.

Just thought i'd share it with you all

Thanks again hope you like it as much as i do, even though it doesn have the blue oval

goes pretty damn well actually.

the noise it makes is unreal, sounds just a escort cossy when laughing.

not to good on the fuel though

handles very well for a front end heavy car, and puts the power down very well due to it!

BRAKES ARE AWESOME

Love VR6's. Must go like shit off a shovel.

Real understated looking car, bet it shocks a few people at the lights.

Quite fancy a Corrado VR6 at some point, but not yet!!

cheers peeps for your comments............. like ryan said the pics just dont do it justice, for instance the wheels are near enough the same colour as the car with a polished rim yet pic shows as alloy!

The work the previous owner had done on it cost him £7.5k from NS Racing who apparently are top in the VW world but i have no idea.

The Z-Engineering pioneered the supercharger system for the VW VR6 in 1995. This kit silently increases horsepower of the VR6 powerplant by almost 45% at the flywheel. The kit is very simple to bolt into place and, like all Z-Kits is supplied with a complete uprated fuel system in the form of software and additional parts. Power delivery is very linear and seamlessly progressive giving a feeling of a capacity increase. The peak output giving 250 hp and 233 lbs/ft of torque. Acceleration becomes more responsive without lag. The power continues to safely build up until you hit the rev limiter.

"The Z-Engineering supercharger ramps up from very low speeds, maintaining a roughly constant torque increase from 4200rpm to redline" - European Car, Nov '00.

The stock air intake system is replaced by the supercharger kit. The supercharger bolts exactly onto the factory mounting point of the VW belt tensioner. A longer double sided 7 rib alternator belt is provided to replace the stock belt. A new tensioner mecanism is bolted onto factory mounting points on the alternator bracket. Moulded silicon ducting is provided to channel air drawn in from a K&N induction filter and from the supercharger to the throttle body. Only 7 hose clamps and 5 bolts fit the kit. Everything is provided for the kit to be DIY fitted. No modifications are required and the kit can be removed as easily as it is fitted.
The kit is setup to provide reliable and dependable power on this engine making it a good choice for a seriously dependable power upgrade for those using their car as a daily driver. The power graph is a result obtained from a 1997 US VR6 Golf 3 on California fuel in high Summer.

Info:
• Power increased from 170 hp to 250 hp
• Torque increased from 170 lbs/ft to 233 lbs/ft
• CARB approval being sought
• Price £2000.00+VAT inc fitting and the same price supplied only. With a £60.00 supplement if a chip socket needs to be fitted.
• Available from VW & Audi Z-Distributors
• Available from stock
• Compatible with Schrick inlet manifold
