speed cameras on M25, anyone know about em !!!!
just wondering if anyones got any info on em
im talking about the ones on the west london side, variable speed limit with cameras on the bridges , fooking loads of em now since they extended the fooking lanes
do they only work when the variable limit is in place of are they still enforcing at 70mph ????
reason i ask is im doing that section of london everyday for 2 weeks and im gonna fook the van by hitting the brakes every 800 yards to stay at 70
my boss sugested just sticking to the limit but i fear i may fall asleep at the wheel or never get home
so whats the situation on em, any links would be cool

there in the bridges with the speed limit signs on,,,,,,,, the ones with a hoooge camera sign on the right on each one
they are deffo there too, ive always ignored em before but now they finished the works on there and its now wider ive noticed the cameras have also been breeding
i can live at 90ish as i go from dartford toll to A24 at 95ish and thats a nice pace to have i found
just everyone seems to slow there and got me thinking and so i joined em but accelerated and then broke at every bridge,,,,,,,,, surely thats bad for the enviroment

No Road Works now Adam all clear as i went past today.

Do what you feels is best, i tend to stick around the 85mph because iam not 100% on them, but when the Sign has a limit on it i stick to it.
Or just take your snooper to work.

About 8 years ago I drove for Iceland in one of their home delivery vans. Used to rag the nuts out of it everywhere to keep within the time windows. 8 deliveries all over the show within the hour. Then they used to moan because I got through so many tyres
Was a bit annoyed as I drove like a twat everywhere then get suspended for shouting at a guy who drove the wrong way up a one way. It was the twat going the wrong way that complained

Thing is, i do a run from essex to windsor nearly every other day, and i have followed traffic for miles doing about 90ish (past 8-10 bridges), and they have NEVER gone off. Even when the speed resrictions are on, they dont go off. Buy my road angel tells me there is a camera on nearly every one, so i used to slow down when the limits where on, but people were flying past me at 90ish and they still never went off. So i now ditch the road angel for m25 driving, and just do 80-90 all the way. Strange.

they are not on every gantry, but there are only a few devoid of camera's
if the signs are there then they'll be switched on but there's nothing to stop you going faster inbetween
they stretch from junction 10 (A3) all the way upto nearly junction 16 )M40) now
i use that bit of road almost everyday so i know which ones are which, but even so, i still slow down "just in case" they are working
seen them flash plenty of times in the past, but always on the other side as someone goes through them
wait till they get wise to this and start to make them average speed cameras, then we've all fooked

They have not put camera's in the gantry's along the widened stretch yet.
The other stretch has got camera's, they only work when the sign's are lit up. I've been through there numerous times at over 90. Not all of the camera's are live. As you approach the gantry look at the back of the camera. If they are live you will see a Red sticker with a white star. Then 1 camera will be live on that gantry, look at the gantry on the other side and you will see which of the 4 camera's has a flash. It's the same both way's. Have a look next time you drive past at a sensible speed.
Hope this helps.

I followed a Met police Officer who was in his Focus RS through the cameras a few years back, and he was pushing 90 through the camera section. He told me afterwards, that he knew that the cameras were set at 84MPH when the speed wasn't restricted, and since he knew his speedo over read by 10%, he could do 90 and not get done. I didn't try it myself!
The ones that are working are definately on when the spped limits are not up, as I have seen people flashed.

i would disagree with that. I have driven back from essex (jct 1-13) at 90-95 mph ALL the way in my sierra through normal gantrys and ones with speed restrictions on, and NONE of them flashed. Although i have seen people get flashed coming the opposite way. so i dunno when they decide to put them on or not.....

that defeats my point
I drive through there every day at 90+, traffic permitting that is. And have been doing so ever since the camera's have been there.
Even went through as a passenger in an E46 M3 at twice the speed limit and no camera flash's.

I've been through them regularly at 140+ at night when I was at uni in London. Never had any problems but that was a couple of years ago, still had the variable limit and camera signs on every brigge though.

Like your style.
Theres too many cameras between the Reigate and Heathrow section. OB2 was going spastic. The gantrys with the speed camera sign, are NOT the only ones with camera on BTW. Just take it steady would be my advise, pain though it is. At least you'll def not get fooked.

not a problem when you can only do 56 mph
and yeah, look for the gap above the black speed limit sign. if theres no light, theres a camera.
