right, basically, i bought a wheel bearing from ford. had it fitted by a local engineering firm who i trust and have done a fair bit of poo for me...

well i fitted the hub, and as soon as i put the cars weight on it, the wheel went funny....

jacked it up, and there was loads of play in the wheel.......

took it to ford, they said its the fault of who ever fitted it and gave it me back, took it back to the place who fitted it, they say they fitted it right, and you cant really fit them wrong, and the bearings have failed. he took the spindal off, and about 4 of the bearings are sticking out........

any1 had any wheel bearings fail - heeeeelp

TBH if the garage had bought it and fitted it they wouldve been able to get it changed, IMO you probably dont stand a chance, as you arent a regular trade customer and cant prove was fitted correctly
