FAO Truckers
Why is it that truckers think that their limited to 56mph truck is faster than the 56mph limited truck they are trying to overtake for 2 foookin miles on a dual carrigeway

on the subject of comedy truck driving, where do they get off blocking the outside lane 3 miles before it goes down to one in roadworks? theres 2 lanes for a reason

Another annoying thing is that they allways start trying to overtake the truck in front just as you are coming up to them , regardless of how close to them you are they allways pull out in front of you

if trucks were not limited they would overtake quickly and move back into the nearside lane, dont blame truckers, blame the government (or even the EU), overtaking on a single carriageway is downright dangerous with limiters, on the dual carriageways it does take an age, it would help if the truck you are overtaking backed off slightly but he never does (methinks its cos he/she is dead jealous that your truck is slightly faster) where else have you got a motorway speed limit of 60mph yet your truck is only allowed to do 56 ???
imagine how you would all feel if your cars were limited to 67mph ?cheers nomad

well why not get you mecanic to remove the limiters my brother has done on all his firms trucks under their request.
Apparently its a piss easy job
If his driving (which is pretty rare as his actually employed as a mechanic) and he predicts a forth coming race with someone else on the firm, he puts their limiter back in

Its very hard to get rid of the limiters on modern trucks because they link them into the engine management so no limiter = no drive, or they link them to the indicators so if you pop the fuse for the limiter you end up with no indicators.

I think trucks should be banned from overtaking on dual carridgeways and possibly even motorways in peak hours!
But then don't get me started on car drivers lane discipline as well

I hate driving on motorways, you are either stuck at 56MPH in the two inside lanes behind arsehole truckers or being pushed along at 110MPH by fookin tosser BMW drivers who are angry at anything else being in THIER BMW lane (the outside one) I think if the government spent as much money on driver training as it did on stupid pointless legislation and fookin speed cameras, we wouldnt need any sort of speed limiters or even speed limits but hey, heres dreaming eh??

no good tampering with the limiter cos the tacho's will show how fast youve been going.i'm a lorry driver and i hate the stupid bastards who block the outside when it narrows down to one aswell also the impatient pricks in their cars who try to shoot down your nearside when you take both lanes so you have room to turn left(even when youre indicating left ) double drive rear axles over your front wing can ruin your day!!
