Default Simple Turbo Question

Is it as simple as it looks to swap exhaust housings?

i.e. unbolt the housing and lift it off the core squarely so as not to damage the blades?

Because you can't remove the bolts fully as they foul the oil feed and water drain, or for some other reason?

yeah bolts need loosenen till hit core then rotate core till bolts can be fully removed. Core assemblies more or less weld themselves to the ex housing though so dont think it will be easy to split

It's because its so tight - its fused on with the heat. U need to smack it like hell to get it to twist on the core. The bolts will come out - u just need to rotate the core to a position where they will.

You can do it but be very careful, a small piece of the flange on the centre core of mine broke off

Soak around the housing in WD40 or something,as mine would not come apart until it had been left for a time.

Turbo still works ok

That is purly because your head resembles a testicle

I'll be fine, may apply some heat first to loosen it all up Then treat it to a shit load of WD40, then get ole sledgy on the task
