Isn't that a bit like putting factor 25 suncream on to go out in a rain storm - a bit overkill....

Mike, surely you should know by now, you can NEVER go overkill on the handling/transmission/brakes on a car, especially for track days, power makes much less difference on track than most people think!!! (If handling is sacrified for more power anyway!)

Paul, if you are much cop at driving the thing you'll be flying round past all other stage 3 cossies on track, only using less fuel and not blowing up/over heating as much

Phil,
I think 330s / 4-pots would have been more than up to the job though .

you will only have to re-upgrade when you go to 400bhp then though!!!

I know first hand (as does everyone stuck behind me on track days in my old saph) how bad it is having good power and shonky suspension

Why would you upgrade with 400bhp?

Most people wouldn't use the stopping power of a 4 pot, let alone six!

Mike should know! He is the queen of late and hard braking.........

A full weight Esc Cos is a heavy car to be tracking!! You must be able to fade 330 4 pots with 1500kg and 400bhp on track?? With some spirited driving anyway!

Its not that long ago when "works" cars only had 4pots i doubt anyone on here could give them the same hammer as in competition.

Only on rally cars where under-rim space is a problem

Touring cars have always had 6 / 8 pots as far as I can remember!?? (Martin rs500 labatts will be able to confirm??)

Phil,
Take it from me that four pots, proper pads and proper brake fluid, does NOT fade under ANY circumstances and can also lock the wheels no prob at 140+mph...

............. AND that's not taking into consideration the servo!

I'm with Mike - if your 4 pots are fading after a few laps, there's something not right with fluid/pads

however, I do retract my emotions as although Mike does take the piss takes well and I was only messing, it is harsh to laugh at someones misfortune.

Looking forward to seeing you Paul. Your car was finished on Saturday and I have to say it handles brilliantly, the turn in is fabulous and it stops really really well!!!!

In my opinion 330's and 4 pots are fine............................

... for the back!!

In my opinion you can never have to much braking force as long as you keep the front and rear balance in check. Mind you lets not forget that Gareth Lloyd only runs 330's and 4 pots on his car at both ends, and I am pretty sure the RS500 touring cars only ran 330's with 4 pots.

Will never get rid of my Brembo 8 pots and 380's, proper retardation man!!!!!!

What can i say, I thought the car handled well, especially after the S2, but feck me its a different car now Sean's right, the turn in and feel, esp at the rear is unbelievable. Front end just turns in and the rear follows so nicely. Even at speeds on the motorway it felt really smooth and stable. Avo's are cool too and hold the car nice and flat through the bends.

THe brakes are mental. I only put half pressure on and the car was standing on its nose.

Top work from the guys at the ZOO .

WOn't be at any track days here, but will be at the ring in september

Oh and stg3 will be next year combined with a small shot of the laughing gas

Piccies will be up tomorrow when i download them at work.
