try the iscv again too then test for leaks if its over reving

for it to over rev the throttle is either open, the iscv letting air in, the idle speed set wrong ) you said you done that) or theres a air leak PAST the throttle

Swapped the map sensor again and bob's your uncle!

I'd give you Ł2,500 for it! Got to be worth Ł3,500 sorry I read what mileage, service history and general condition/underneath rot, if any - is the engine standard?

Glad the MAP sensor cured the problem - does it still have the high idle problem? Our 4x4 often runs with cold start 'on' I just unplug it for a min or so then its fine
