Can't stop the car misfiring above 4k revs
It's only since a new fuel pump and fuel tank were fitted a few weeks ago, was A1 ok before
Checked the plugs after it being suggested on Tuesday night at Norfolk Meet, the little screw on tips WERE loose and are now tightened back up
The distributor cap and arm look fine too, the boost was turned down incase of being too high hence blowing spark out
HT leads are nice and tight, coil is ok
Took it out after checking over, no difference at all
Any ideas people cos it's really bugging me now

Fook that, I'll leave things like that to Gary when I have a fe more bits then a setup
Just want to get it as good as I can before it goes there
If I take it up the rev range clowly - same goes for boost - it's fine

Fuel pump from Phil, tank from a reputable guy who used to use this forum
Might have a look at the wiring to pump actually, coud be on to a winner there...
Fuel tank was MOT failure as had a pinprick hole in the top of it, the fuel pump failed just after tank was fitted, it siezed

Could be as it trying to supply more fuel the pump is working harder and the wiring cant supply enough power to the pump causing a missfire?
Just scrap the ol' wanna be bean tin and save the money

Have you tried the throttle switch?? Mind did the same thing and i changed the pump & the wiring!
Just undo the two screws on the side of the throttle housing and give it a twist until it clicks! Had a friend who had the same problem and his was the throttle switch too.
Worth a try at the very least.
