Default Abandoned airfields etc...

Does anyone know of any abandoned air-fields / big lumps of land preferably in the North West??

Bought my first proper RWD car, and wouldnt mind somewhere big and off road where i can have a play / get used to it!

Don't fancy going on a track day with it first though, as i'd get in the way of others!

No, as long as the car is safe, then thats all youl need.

Well, and a helmet.

Ive found going out in the car with experienced drifters etc teaches you soo much, even when you analise what your doing wrong yourself its hard to easily tell, but soon as I did what they said (which was such simple things) i was miles better.

60quid for the car mate.

Not sure if you HAVE to book in advance as I know the organiser so I can just turn up n go see him, but I think you do.

Ring or email them to make sure, email addy is on the site, think its "info@" etc etc, they reply pretty promptly so youl be fine.

Seriously mate, youl soon realise you have no choise but let go of the wheel, nobody on gods earth can countersteer fast enough to not do it!

No need to worry about being poo either, like any of the regulars will tell you, most people start the day properly useless, and end it pretty bloody shithot.
Im shocked how quick ive got good.

Bring some spare tyres tho
There is a tyre changing guy there so no need to bring actual spare alloys if you dont need to.

Well, ive been booked in for the last two weeks.
But after last nights drift practice the big ends are mildly more noisy than than they should be

I gotta pop out in a bit, and soon as im back im gonna check it out. If its anything less than completely terminal im deffo still going, so il keep you informed

Mate of mine went to last nights one in his R32GTR actually (RR'd at APT the other week at over 450bhp) and he proper loved it, and was pretty good by the end of it, and that place is nowhere near as good (or as Pro) as Silverstone.

That place has so many pot holes. Trust me I've tried it a year ago unless they have refurbed it?
