Spoilt little fuckers
I keep seeing that advert for Argos (Don't shop for it, Argos it) etc etc
Basically, if you not seen it, one of them is a little girl who doesn't get her own way, and she turns into a monster type thing and starts ripping the house to peices, uproots the plants, rips cussions open etc etc
Then the mother comes in, shakes her head as if its a perfectly normal occurance, jumps on the computer, orders some shit from Argos online for her little shit of a daughter, and everything is hunky doory!
What winds me up is the phrase they use 'And the lesson is....Don't shop for it, Argos it!' Because the lesson i would say should be learnt is that the little cow shouldn't get fuck all for christmas
I'm sorry if i seem a bit OTT here, but all i see on TV now is adverts when the kids exploit their parents and have tantrums until they get what they want!
Is it me? Am i old fasioned? Or are kids taking the piss nowdays?
Oh and just to add to the rant, the Boots advert winds me up aswell, the phrase 'Boots know giving presents makes you feel good'
Really? I could have sworn that having a family and a nice home for christmas felt better than giving inanimate objects

Totally agree with you 100% - i work in Tesco some afternoons (around the times the schools come out ). The place becomes totally infested with what i can only describe as spoilt little shits with parents who don't have a clue.
Theres been too many times to remember when their kids been assing about - one example being climbing over trolleys, thier mother says "Ohh don't do that" to the kid, so obv they carry on, fall flat on their face and start greeting - ofcourse now mummy runs over and appologises and makes sure thier "little angel" is ok.
It really pisses me off - it seems to me the majourity of modern parents don't know how do control thier kids - only occasionally will i see a child getting told off, its always the parent's rushing to thier needs
FFS when i was a kid - ofcourse my parents were there for me, but if i did anything stupid (ie the time i climbed over a trolley and it toppled over on me - i learnt my lesson, coming in the form of a smacking, a good talking to and a night not watching the tv or something similar)
The smaking issue in awhole arguement altogether but it seems the attitude of modern parents are worlds away from mine and all my mates' parents, and we're only 18

Brilliant post..........................
BUT
Have you seen that advert on TV where the kid goes to pick something up off the supermarket shelves, the mother says no, and then the kid starts to cry.
So the mother lies on the floor screaming and wailing, with the kid looking totally confused, then she gets up, and the kid moves on without a noise - superb!

Especially the bit at the end where she looks at him - chuckle every time

I know there are more adverts out there similar to this, i just don't see them cos i hardly watch TV nowdays.
I think a good smack should be allowed, not hard, but a right stinger across the back of the legs or on the hand, just like i used to get off my old man.
My neice is a good girl, shes almost 6, but because my brother and her mum don't live together, she's getting two types of dicipline..on one hand her mum lets her do what she wants, and on the other my bro will tell her off for doing something naughty, so it gets confusing for her.
