Now the camping season is upon us im looking to buy a new torch. Is there any other makes which are top class other than Maglite or should i just stick with them. I was looking to buy a 4d cell one if they are any good. Opinions welcome

nick a bardic lamp from a railway worker can display white, red, yellow and green

if they are good enough to hang off trains in all weather in emergancies and for battering passangers with (i know a few people who have done with the lamp, lol) then camping is a breeze

lol

I have an Inova X5. Small like a maglite but with led bulbs and a lithium battery. The same torch that they use in CSI. Much brighter than a maglite + waterproof & crushproof, a nice bit of kit.
