OH yes, thanks Lee, I did some research and you are correct - the 1.6 did replace the 1.4 model.........to me it just seemed strange Ford offering the car in 1.6 & 1.7 engine versions

have a look at this

not sure what the mods are to make it into an anti lag valve, but yours doesn't have the end piece with the O-ring

Phil,
That is the nasty one that has been mentioned in other posts where if the screw comes loose it drops into the engine . I would not fit this to my car if I was you (for the above reason). It is not a Mountune item.

I could have had your standard ISCV modded for Ł60 and that would have been ultra reliable and flown enough air for mild ALS.

All the shortblock zetec-s/se were developed by yamaha 1.25 1.4 1.6 and 1.7

The 1.7 is different in so much as it has discrete vct on the ehxaust valves and a better intake manifold

The one i had, the mountune one, its totaly different in operation to the standard one, and looks nothing like that one either.

Its just one giant valve going up and down, wheras the standard one is a small piston that moves up and down in a casing.

....as Tim Finch said in my other thread just use a suitable locktite and problem solved....Far more to worry about than the nut coming loose if correctly installed!

Not worth risking imo get a properly modded one and sell the eBay one.

Yes but using locktite would mean you have just as much chance as a cam nut going loose and causing damage!....Its fine!...and to be extra sure i will check it every now and again!
