opinions on this LCD TV
sorry about all the questions regarding plasma's and LCD TV's just to me its alot of cash as unfortunately not made of it..
seen this one, its a 37inch LCD HD ready, for about 1500 quid..
94 cm visible screen size.
HD Ready.
1366x768p WXGA display resolution.
Integrated Digital tuner.
Digital Crystal Clear.
Pulse Killer Chip.
Virtual Dolby Surround.
8 day EPG.
DVI-I input.
Any one with any opinions.. ie, Phillips are shit, or there good.. Will quality be opk?? will PS2 play well on it?
resolution ok?
i know not alot about them unfortunately
thanks[/b]

I can see it at any angle without a problem even from 30ft away

Westy
I bought a 42" Sony plasma and took it back 2 hours later as the picture was shit. I then spent longer looking for a TV that i was happy with and bought the Philips LCD which by the way has 4 scart sockets
Its down to personal taste so get yourself down to Comet or somewhere that has a good selection and find one you are happy with and then hunt around for the best price on that TV!

my mate bought a 42" philips plasma with pixel plus and the pic is absolutely shocking even had an engineer out to look at it and he said theres nothing wrong with it those models are just shit, I would say there must be a fault as it seems to get better and worse. And I was in curry's yesterday and the salesman told me to stay away from philips with pixel plus as the technology is shite and they get lots of complaints....
Maybe the LCD's are fine, I know ive been very impressed with the lg plasma'a and if you go onto www.kelkoo.co.uk you can pick up a 42'' hdmi for the bargain price of Ł1049 absolute deal if you ask me Ł450 cheaper than curry's and they are usually quite cheap.
Hope this helps
Happy shopping
Craig

Agree 100% with Spadge, you must view them. I would of said you cant go wrong with Sony but it really is worth viewing as you will be surprised.

You selling your RS to fund the deposit on your 'Happy Shopper' plasma then Westy

happy shopper... Phillips is alittle gypo for me, hence the Sony first choice
Nope, the RS is staying.. all taxed and tested... Im off back down to college in it, to impress the ;ladies
Unless someone say's here ya go Westy, here's 2500 quid (proper bargain) then they can have it..
Got the cash for the plasma.. just no bed or flooring yet

If you go for Plasma they vary so much from model to model even screens by same manufacturer.
Saying that generally Pioneer have the best Plasma screens but are more than you would like to pay.
Id have picked Sony over Philips everyday of the week on name alone but when you see them side by side no-one can argue, philips have surpased sony with these lcds.

But soon realised my mistake and bought the best one on its own merits rather than 'badge snobbery'

No but cheap plasmas look awful imo
I also think a tv cant be too big but if your buying a cheap big plasma and not in a massive room they are unwatchable.
