could be worse, could have been your car or he crashed into a police station

drink driving is easy to do unfortunatly, there should be a key safe at a pub on a time lock, hand in the keys incase you worry about getting drunk and then forgeting morales as sooo many do

most people dont think the same when thy have had a few too many

so you have NEVER done ANYTHING when drunk you regretted in the morning then ?????

the excuses like "shes a minger but i was drunk" are not a comment you have said, never argued for no reason cause you was drunk

think we all look at this the wrong way, drink seems to make you loose the morales you respect when sober, as a result i feel that a key safe is a good idea as some of the nicest people can be a drink driver in any situation

dont get me wrong im biased as a few members of my family have been done for it and loads of my family have done it in the past including me, everytime though i have always woke up and thought " what a cunt, why would i bee so silly"

so as a result i always leave my keys at home now or leave em at the bar

but thats cause i get really drunk usually , easy to do though

Believe me I don't want to sack him, he is actually a really nice guy, but he can't do viewings anymore or do any running around for me..
Apparently if he does a driving course he can reduce the ban to 17months but thats still too long for me, could have maybe hacked a 6month ban..
Nothing is for certain at the moment as my Bro maybe leaving the agnecy aswell which will leave me short... I fucking hate being a manager sometimes!!

in all honesty though paul IF he respected his job he would never have had that many and got in his car, hes obv done it before, just the one time you need to be caught

ask anyone who drives for a living, most of em wont even pop to the pub after work to be sociable incase they got a tug

see damo not everyone can do that, i know i cant if all me mates are drinking

just like when i used to mix with the other, i wouldnt take a line, i would have a few drinks then i would take a few lines , then regret it in the mornin

for that reason i wont go pub after work as i get too comfy and i wont leave untill my mates do adn they never leave till closing either

the only other way i find i can deal with it is soon as i get to the pub i order food, that way i cant drink as much and mix that with my "cocktail" im generally ok

but for a friday night then i cant do that, must either get fooked totally or type shite on passionford

exactly I drive to the pub most Fridays and drive home after having about 6 pints. 1 is beer, the other 5 are cokes It ain't hard to do.... Thats what annoys me about those drink driving ads, where the guy says his mate has to stay for one more pint even tho he is driving. I don't get why the dud can't just have a coke?

steve read the whole post first

its too easy to do hence why people do it

i WONT go to the pub and drink coke and as a result i find a way to avoid drinking and driving, that usually means leaving the keys at my parents so i deff can not

i know what im like after ive had a load of drinks and so im in that catogory where i can do it and so i have to be restrained from it

atleast im honest and know the problems and deal with em, also when i drink i drink to excess and dont stop drinking untill the beer stops flowing or i cant drink anymore

Almost Commendable

BUT why do you feel the need for having the 1 pint, if it has NO affect on you why bother, if its for the taste you know you will be losing it after the cokes anyway

Seriouse question tho lots of people seem to want just the one pint personally cant see the NEED for that 1 (if driving obviously got nowt against gettingf plastered if not driving )

thats a good point steve, as i cant just drink 1 pint, id rather drink non tbh but thats just cause i always get a flavor for it and drinking coke with a slice of lemon dont match it

why not just get a cab to the pub and a cab home after

it's not fu*king hard is it?? if you want to drink, get a cab, if you want to drive drink non alcoholic drinks. if as an adult you can't go out and not trust yourself to be able to make a decision about somthing so simple then you shouldn't be driving a car in the first place

And in my opinion a 2nd DD offence should be an automatic 10 year ban , that would stop twats driving drunk

personally I quite like the taste of a nice cold beer... at home I only drink water or coffee.... I do drink coke at the pub, but sometime I just fancy "Apint of beer" ... I appreciate any alcohol is as bad as on the limit... BUT till the law changes or I it is PROVEN to me my 1 pint DOES make a difference I will probably continue...

I should add, up until I was 19 or 20, I would NEVER drink ANY alcohol if I was driving!!

I used to drink quite heavy regularly and at that time i once did a reaction test in a pub (at a train station waiting for a train ) did it 3 times b4 having a drink and got the best score possible had the ONE pint and re did the test 3 times and every time got "you are dead" (was a set of handlebars with brake levers that you pulled when a light come on)

Never felt the need for that ONE pint ever since

NOT proof to everyone I know but did it for me

Yeah been loadsa tests on it ... thats why I said proven to me MY one makes a diff

I agree though I would have no problem with a NO drink law ..... though with regards to "the morning after" would throw up SOOOOOOO many complications... I am fairly certain I may have driven over the limit under those circumstances

the point i was making is there are people who go to the pub with NO intention of driving when sober and then for what ever reason they may decide to go to a club, not beable to get a cab and as a result the generally normal and sesible person MAY decide hes fine to drive as he feels ok

alcohol DOES affect rational judgement and as a result its a hard desision to make

hell ive done some fucked up thinks when either drunk or on drugs that i would NEVER do again and i dont understand WHY i done it

thats the reason why i leave my keys at either the bar or anoter persons house ( usually my parents tbh)

think about it and tell me you havent ever been a cunt or done somink on the beer that you wouldnt when sober

strange how it makes you able to talk to that good looking bird when you have had a good few pints or talk about the time you mum caught you chiking the chicken that time when you was 14

also what about driving home when feeling ill ????

ive driven home with the flu once as i was too ill to work and felt like shite, i got a tug that day too and the copper could see i was ill and he explained its more dangerous doing that then driving home from the pub, for that reason i wont drive if i feel ill either, not breaking the law though but it should

as for the morning after, i used to always drive the morning after and never think about it

i had a heavy night one night and i felt ROUGH as fook, i drove to work and got a tug for my small place, the copper said he smelt drink ( dam you aftershock ) and called for a van with the machine to test my smelly breath

i blew int he bag and as soon as my mouth cam off it the fooker went amber

the longest 60 seconds of me life and since then i NEVER drink the morning after

thats also the reason why i turned up for work 1 hour late for work on new years day, i took the bus
