Default Escort Cossie vs Porsche Carrera

I've just went for a drive with the Cossie because she's FINALLY back where she's supposed to be except I'm missing some power --> AND I'VE BEEN ABLE TO WITNESS THAT FIRST HAND.

I weighed the Cossie this morning and she put 1360kg on the scale with 1/4tank full --> 1480kg with me in it!

Coincidence is that I JUST filled her up (60litres) AND I had a friend with me (+100kg) so total weight has been estimated by me at about 1620kg.
as fuel weighs about 0,75kg/litre.

I just came off the motorway and had to get on it immediatly after that in the opposite direction (orders of the g/f to pick something up) and what do I see entering the motorway JUST before me --> a Porsche Carrera what after some searching the net appears to be the brand NEW Porsche Carrera (yes, the once that aren't available at the moment).

The Porsche got the edge as I floored her a little too late so he got a little headstart. The distance between us stayed that way. He didn't pull further, I didn't inch closer. So in fact, I LOST.
That new Carrera is bloody fast.

This is something I do NOT wish to encounter again so an appointment has been made to get a new chip for that little more extra power.
Or perhaps I need to loose some weight or don't put that much fuel in the car.

Nopez, not the GT version m8.
Just the new Carrera model which is coming out VERY soon.
325bhp @ 6800rpm
273 lb-ft @ 4250 rpm
3075 lbs or 1395kg

Should have gone past that but I didn't.

Hey Geert,

it doesn't matter you lose. he didn't run out on you and you didn't come closer. your escos has 4wd transmission so you lose a lot of bhp by that. the porker was a 2wd I guess. it was lighter at the moment and better aerodynamics. it's not a shame to lose from a porker. next time better.

best regards

I know it's not that bad but I would have thought that I could creep past it which wasn't possible.

Not a live map Rene but a new chip for the car which should see a little more power.

Geert,
Having had you as a passenger in the car round the Ring, I would say - loose some weight - it went really well round left handers, but not so good round right handers with you in .

I know m8, I can still remember the first right hander where you went on the curbs because you forgot about me.

I can't be arsed to loose some weight. I've been like this for ages so I'll just up the power to compensate.

By the way, I lost the race but not the war.
Hope to meeting him again after my visit to Stu.
