Default Mounting the bucket seat.

...the only way i see is easy is to use a recaro base.

Is that true?

I need a base with the seat belt stalk on,does anyone know if the base sapphires had this?????I am thinking a base from a cheapo seat is good instead of using my leather recaros!

Any got any laying about?

...i have some carbon side mount pro race corbeaus here but they yellow and black ...not sure what the sparcos are...soon see!...The corbeaus fit str8 onto the std frame.

The floor aint flat how else can you do it easily?

The seat belt stalk can be cut off and the hole made bigger to clip that belt side too.....looking at all options on installation..remember road car LOL...maybe track ...that is a proper seat belt mount!

I spent 12 hours from Saturday to Sunday, with a plasma cutter and Welder getting my Sparco's on to some adjustable runners and in the Scoob. Took a lot of time and patience...... but fook do they look good! If you have never driven a car with proper seats and harnesses in before, it don't arf feel so much more confidence inspiring when giving it death around bends!

I always find that if you buy the said seat 5 or six rounds in the pub, you should be able to mount it easily. Analternative is to slip it some Rhonylpol in it's drink - then you can mount it foreward, backwards, sideways - and even take some piccies for your mates on the forum.

Having seen pictures of you, I'd say to skip the drinks and go straight for the Rhonylpol.

With the G forces your brakes pull, Id fit it properly if I were you and not bodge it

Harness type seat belts should be mounted to either the floor or cage and not to a seat base - just in case you were thinking of going that route Phil

Recaro do proper intermediate mounts that bolt between the standard base and seat, this is what I used on my car . £70, job done and you still have the full adjustment of the standard seat and the seat belt stalk.

Yours is a road car Mike - Im thinking Phil wants something different

Suppose you only need adjustment if you need access to the rear seats... rally replicas shouldn't have rear seats, so the front seats should be mounted in the safest way possible
