A 24v Cosworth lump in a sierra, was lovely, asked the matey if he was selling, and he wasn't too sure.
Its red, 24v cossy lump, and he lives in reading. Anyone know him?

Nah, not that one
Was sitting on aftermarket wheels though, u know, i couldn't tell if it was a saph or not, only saw the front
could well have been a saph.
I dunno why a lot of peeps don't favour the 24v transplants, its still a good effort from whoever done it, and its differn't, it aint all about turbos
I much prefer the torque and smooth delivery of a V6 over a turbo any day, but i also favour turbos for all out madness and draining my wallet

Snowy Astra...
Whats the big deal?
Its just 2 valve per cyl heads like every 8valve 4pot in the world, and all the massive yank V8s they can get 1000s of bhp from.
Corvette LS1 GT Racers= 2 valves per cyl.
Brand new LS2 6litre V8 in stuff like Holdens and top Corvettes,= 2valves per cyl.
Ie 16valves for 8cyls.
The fact the Cologne had 12 valves wasnt the reason it was shit.
It was everything

Damn right!
There are a damn site more reasons the Cologne is a shite and if anything the valves are an advantage on them since they don't rev for toffee.
Just an old shonky engine like all other old shonky engines from its time.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
In 15 years time when they are getting 300 bhp from 3 cylinder 750cc All ceramic engines with no valves, revving to 20000 rpm, people will be saying why did they bother building those Shonky 16v Yb and Zetecs and Duratecs, and all the other crap in the 80's and 90's.
You should have been around when the best Ford had to offer was a 1500cc non crossflow.
My first car... 105E Anglia..while they were still in production....
