Default Was involved in an RTC last night :-(

On my way to pick my other half (gem) up and heading into bournemouth, van pulled across in front of my and i lost it under braking, fish taled down the road for what seamed like ages, then planted the escort in a ditch... Was in an ambulance for 20mins and they wanted to cart me off due to having the bloodpressure
The roads had just been gritted and i wasn't going that fast, just felt like i was on ice, no matter what i did that back end would not straighten up....

anyone else ever felt the back of an escos go lite? cos its not the first time its happened to me but been lucky before.

guess we all underestimate the road conditions sometimes, no match for bridgestones

here she is in the cold light of day

I think its a write off, both inner and outer wings (one more than the other) have moved, the offside rear quater is very damaged and i think the transmission is screwed as it just makes a nasty noises if you try and get it into gear.

I'll see what mr insurance says

Stop talking nonsense.

The whale-tail was available to be deleted off the car from the factory on later models.

Sorry to see that damage - hope it can be repaired....

The roads really are evil at the moment, when they first grit it makes the surface very dodgy...

thanks again for your kind comments

cheers guys, called the insurance company... they're gonna come and take it away next week i reckon its a write off but we'll see.

They also said i may well be able to get the car back if it is written off, fingers crossed. could turn it into a trackday car of some kind.

As others have said.... a good reminder of the road conditions at the mo
